This week the Government launched some new 'How to' guides for tenants and landlords, to help them understand their rights and responsibilities.

It provides a checklist and more detailed information on each stage of the process, including:

  • what to look out for before renting
  • living in a rented home
  • what happens at the end of a tenancy
  • what to do if things go wrong

Taken from an ARLA article... At the launch of the new guides Housing Minister Heather Wheeler MP said: “Every day across the country thousands of people move house – from young people leaving home for the first time, to those relocating after years in the same property.

“Whatever the circumstance, we want to ensure renters, landlords and leaseholders are armed with information so they know their rights, responsibilities and can challenge poor behaviour.”

If this affects you in any way, call in and see our Lettings team in our Storrington branch for help, advice and properties available for renting.
