Annual house price growth holds steady

Considering the pressures in the current UK's political and economic climate, it is good to read a positive article in Property Reporter. It seems that Nationwide's recent analysis has shown that the housing market is bearing up.
It does depend on how wider economic conditions evolve over these coming months as there still is some uncertainty ahead, although borrowing costs and the unemployment rates are low.
We will continue to review activity over the coming months as once any uncertainty lifts, there should be a pick up of activity during next year. If you are considering a move in the new year, we would always recommend talking to your local Estate Agent who will no what is going on in your area rather than looking at stories that cover the whole of the UK. We remember reading about house prices crashing in 2016 and a lot of doom and gloom, however, they are now anything up to 9% higher than in June 16.
