A 'flipping' good start

Well it has been a pretty damp start for everyone in West Sussex, but at GL&Co we refuse to let heavy rain, storms and floods dampen our spirits!  We had a great January, beating the post-Christmas blues and celebrating our successful ‘dry Januarys’ by having a belated Christmas party on the 1st Feb.  We returned to the Slinfold Golf Club for the event and everybody got dressed up in their finest for the occasion.

A new feature for this year’s Christmas do was our mini awards ceremony, which saw our MD, Neil, recognising the strengths and achievements of individual offices and staff.  Some of the key recognitions on the night were for our ‘Sunday Pioneer’ Sam, Best Support Staff, Marketing Manager, Michelle, Best All Rounder, Senior Lettings Consultant, Karen, and Star of the Year, Sales Consultant, Hugo Hall.  All the awards were well deserved and just a small way of GL&Co showing their appreciation for all that our staff do on a day to day basis.

After the awards were over winners and all got up to celebrate, busting some serious moves on the dance floor.  Mr Hall proved his credentials as a rising star in all areas with his exceptional twerking skills, wowing people off the dance floor with those moves.  I think it is safe to say that good fun was had by all and it was a fantastic opportunity to get everyone together to celebrate the start of what we are sure will be a good year for GL&Co.

All three offices have been very busy with some early sales and plenty of new instructions; we have another property currently being offered by our new modern method of selling, in the form of an online auction.  This has had proven success in the past and we are confident that modern method of selling will continue to result in successful transactions for both sellers and buyers.

A great way to find out more about the modern method of selling and what GL&Co are up to currently is to check out our new video blog with our MD, Neil, and Storrington office manager Peter Hossack.  Neil and Peter discuss our current properties and there is further talk about thatched properties, following Andrew Higham’s blog last week.

Finally the team over at Horsham office have started the year with more activities for charity.  Our office giraffe made a whopping £300 for the Horsham Responders in a live eBay auction and the team were feeling seasonal today as they participated in a pancake flipping race in Horsham town to raise money for the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy.  We came a very respectable 2nd place, losing out narrowly to The District Post.

All in all January and February have left us very excited for the year ahead, if only this incessant rain would disappear for good now!
