Storrington is a thriving small town in a picturesque setting at the foot of the South Downs, which retains a lovely village atmosphere. It was known as Estorchestone in the Domesday Book, which related to it being well known for storks, rather than the market town it actually was. This market town role faded away in the 20th century, as did the rabbit breeding the town was renown for (hence the name Warren being used a great deal in the local area!).
