If you are starting to consider getting on to the property ladder for the first time, according to recent figures from UK Finance, you are one of many.  It seems that there were 365,000 first time buyers in the UK last year, with an average age of 30 years old and an annual household income of £41,000 (individual or joint).

2017 saw more first time buyers taking out mortgages, thus making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, than in any year since 2006.  Last years changes to Stamp Duty for First Time Buyers have obviously helped the increase in numbers of young people getting on to the property ladder and the South East of England has seen one of the biggest rises in the UK. Therefore, if you are considering the same exciting step forwards, you need to ensure you can talk to a friendly team of people with local knowledge, expert advice and guidance.
